Two days before the Jewish wedding of Nathan and Giuditta (look at their wedding pictures), the bride and bridegroom-to-be invited us to their Henna party inside the extraordinary El Jadida club, with a furniture that had arrived directly from Marrakech, Morocco; a tent and narghile, just like in a nomadic tent.
According to the tradition, on the day of the Henna -two days before the wedding – a big party takes place, during which all invitations to the wedding reception are officially made and the bride-to-be has her hands and feet colored with Henna.
Henna is a plant; to obtain the typical color, you have to dry the leaves, crumble them and mix them with water in order to make a thick, red paste out of it, with which one creates marvelous arabesques and drawings, that finally become black and are meant to bring good luck.
